East Bengal Club is a democratically run club. Every three years the valid members of East Bengal Club elect 12 Executive Committee Members and 10 Office Bearers. Members from Kolkata, 24 Parganas North and South and Howrah come and cast their votes at the venue of election which is decided by the Election Board. Out-station members cast their votes by postal ballots.

The elected committee then nominates the President, four Vice Presidents and co-opts three members to form a 30 member Executive Committee.

In the election year of the club the Executive Committee appoints an Election Board comprising 3 members and the Chairman of the Election Board. The President of the Club is the Chairman of the Election Board. To be appointed into the Election Board the 3 members must be valid members of the Club and should neither be proposers or seconders of any candidate, nor be canditates themselves in the Club elections.

Members are either 'Life Members' or 'Ordinary Members', the latter having to renew membership every year by paying subscription which is decided at the Annual General Meeting of the club. The AGM is held within 30th September every year and all members are intimated by an advertisement on the News Papers. This year we will have the website announcing the AGM as well.

We are entering a phase where we will have exact tabulations but as of now we have around 11000 Ordinary Members and around 1200 Life Members.

Facilities for members :

• Entry access to the Club premises at the Calcutta Maidan.

• You can watch practice games/sessions free of charge.

• Free access to members gallery tickets on all matches on our Maidan grounds.

• Assurance of a ticket on all other exhibition matches of the Club at the Yuva Bharati Krirangan(Salt Lake Stadium).

• Availability of tickets by lottery for test matches and one day matches at Eden Gardens.

Club authority holds the right to grant the membership and if you are considered eligible we will email your membership form to you. You will then have to take a print out, fill it, enclose two passport size photographs, and an account payee cheque/draft drawn in the name of "General Secretary, East Bengal Club".
