Mona (Ramesh) Dutta
Centre Forward. Played for East Bengal from 1922-25 and again in 1928. He has the distinction of scoring the first goal for East Bengal in Calcutta Football League's First Division in 1925 when he scored the only goal in the Club's 1-4 loss to Calcutta Football Club. He scored 37 goals for the club being their highest scorer in 1923, 1924, 1925 and 1928.
He was the captain of the Club in 1925 the very first year East Bengal was promoted to 1st Division. He played for Indians in 1923, 1924 and 1928 vs Europeans.
 

J. Sarkar

Inside Forward. Played for East Bengal from 1925-1927 and again from 1929-1932. He scored 11 goals for the Club being their highest scorer in 1926 and 1927. He has the distinction of scoring the first hatrick for the Club which he performed in East Bengal's 3-2 triumph over Rangers in 1927 Calcutta League.
 
Surja Chakravarty
Inside Right. Played for East Bengal from 1925-1927 and again from 1929-1934. He was captain of the Club in 1927. He scored 63 goals for the Club being their highest scorer in 1927 (Joint), 1929, 1930, 1931 and 1932 (Joint). He played for Indians in 1925, 1926, 1927, 1929, 1931 and 1932 vs Europeans.
 
Haran Saha
Center Half. He played for the club from 1925-1927. In 1928 he left the club and joined E.B.Railway because he got a job. However, he sacrificed his job and returned to the club in 1929 after the club was relegated in 1928. He stayed on till 1930.
 
Dulal Guha Thakurta
Forward. Played for East Bengal from 1927-1929, 1931-1937 and 1939-1941. He was captain of the Club in 1935 and 1936. He scored 24 goals for the Club. He played for Indians in 1928, 1933, 1934 amd 1936 vs Europeans.
 
Majid
Centre Forward. Played for East Bengal from 1931 to 1937. He scored 46 goals for East Bengal being their highest scorer in 1932 (Joint), 1933 and 1934. He played for Indians in 1931 and 1932 vs Europeans.
 
Lakshminarayan
Inside Right. Played for East Bengal from 1935 to 1940. He scored 36 goals for the Club being their highest scorer in 1936. He played for Indians vs Europeans in 1936. He has also scored 6 goals for East Bengal vs Mohun Bagan in Calcutta Football League which is a record for the Derby Clashes in the League.
 
Murgesh
Centre Forward. Played for East Bengal from 1936 to 1939. He scored 33 goals for the Club being their highest scorer in 1937 and 1938. Along with Lakshminarayan formed a lethal striking force for the Club.
 
Somana
Centre Forward. Played for East Bengal from 1938 to 1943 and again in 1945. He scored 105 goals for the Club being their highest scorer from 1940 to 1943. He was the captain of the Club when it won the Calcutta Football League Championship for the first time in 1942.
He was also member of the Club team which won the I.F.A. Shield for the first time in 1943 and he had the distinction of scoring a goal in the final vs Police (East Bengal won 3-0). He was also member of the team in 1945 when the Club achieved the double for the first time. He played for Indians Vs Europeans in 1940 and 1941.
 
Sunil Ghosh

Inside Forward. Played for East Bengal in 1938 and from 1940 to 1948 being the Captain of the Club during 1944. He scored 97 goals for the Club being their highest scorer in 1944. He was member of the Club teams which registered its maiden triumph in Winning the League (1942),
I.F.A. Shield (1943) and the Double (1945). He was selected to represent the Indians -vs- Europeans in 1942, 1943, 1945 and 1947. Along with Somana formed a lethal striking duo for the Club.
 
Pagsley
Center Forward. One of the finest Left Footed Forwards of East Bengal came from Burma. He was the highest scorer in the year 1945 with 21 Goals. His outstanding performance in 1945 helped the club to win 1st Div League and I.F.A. Shield. He also scored the only goal against Mohun Bagan in I.F.A. Shield Final in 1945. This was the year we won the 1st Div League and IFA Shield for the first time.
He also holds the record of scoring the maximum goals by an individual for East Bengal in a tournamement match when he scored 8 goals -vs- B.B.C.I.L. Railway in the First Round of Rovers Cup in 1945. East Bengal won 11-0 which is also the record for the highest margin of victory by the Club in any tournament so far. Overall he scored 47 goals for the Club having represented the same from 1942 to 1948.
